About our foodbank
Here is an introduction to our project.
Our Foodbank is a project facilitated by St Mary’s Church, Lutterworth, supported by other local churches, schools, community groups, organisations and businesses – all working together towards stopping hunger in our area.
We opened our doors for the first session at the Church Gate Centre in Lutterworth in January 2014. In October 2015 we expanded our operation to include a second centre at the Methodist Church hall in Countesthorpe.
We provide emergency food & supplies for residents who are referred to us in financial crisis in the Harborough and Blaby District Areas and signpost clients to other agencies who may be able to alleviate their situation.
